Description
The 3 to 1 trigger module is the latest in technological advances in sensors. Until now the bulky Adafruit IR Beam Breaker pair of diodes has had a reputation of being hard to conceal. In the KandR electronics 3 to 1 sensor module, the small sensing diodes have been removed from the electronics circuit card so that sensors can be more easily concealed. The bulky electronics card has been moved down the wires so that it can be concealed in a larger structure or under the table away from the small sensor diode.
Another feature is that It combines more than 3 of the KandR Electronics sensors so that the output is a single trigger wire for three vastly different sensors. Typically you need a minimum of three sensors to cover an area like a road traffic crossing train tracks so that a gate controller can be signaled to lower the gates in time.
Limitations with the input sensor pin on all controller cards is 3 connections. With the 3 to 1 Trigger Module you can combine multiple Laser, ambient light, and IR sensors. If any one of the sensors are triggered they will signal by grounding the yellow or white single trigger wire. You could connect as many as 9 sensors to one input on the controller card using three 3 to 1 combiners. It can be used on our gate controller or our sound cards or any Arduino digital input. IR and ambient sensors purchased separately.
Check our video on the use and installation of sensors. There are many ways to configure them for achieving the results you need to create realistic operations of animatronics or sounds.
